Project Overview
AMNH expedition archives preserve objects as flat photographs, documenting artifacts while losing their material presence. I built a digital cabinet for the AMNH expedition archive by converting historical object photographs into interactive 3D reconstructions. The project uses image-to-3D modeling to surface qualities absent from traditional archives - tactility, volume, and spatial presence.
